Nestled on a functioning farm built over ancient Inca ruins, the rustic charm of the place intrigued me, particularly as a history teacher. We were fortunate to have a spacious suite with hand-painted murals and multiple fireplaces to keep us warm during cooler evenings. The essentials, like wi-fi and free toiletries, were provided, but what stood out were the personal touches: a welcome drink upon arrival and attentive staff, notably Natalia, who ensured we had everything we needed. Although we encountered a few power outages during our stay, it led to a cozy candlelit dinner featuring excellent local cuisine—a unique dining experience worth appreciating for its ambiance alone. Breakfast was made to order, adding to the value of our overnight stay. While the honor bar had somewhat elevated prices, the overall affordability of meals and the charm of this historical site made it a memorable choice. For anyone keen on blending comfort with an educational experience, this Hacienda offers significant value.
